With an under utilised scope for light and ventilation in the existing space, the proposed program for the Masters in Planning course needed to be remodelled as a studio space- with five vertical studios housing 20 students each, within a single space.

design response

• To de-clutter the exisitng divided space and enable clean circulation in and around it

• To conceptualise a model space that caters to the new system of verical studios, the latter being a first on campus

• To work out an efficient andeconomic system of lighting in sync with the exisitng stuctural grid

• To devise a new system of openings that would be durable, easy to maintain and replicate at different locations
