The acquired site for housing the CEPT Archives facility is an unused hostel mess building, with aesthetics typical to the institutional architecture of the 1940’s - pitched roof, exposed wood trusses, and load bearing walls.
Archives is a first of its kind initiative by CEPT to create a data bank of information related to architecture, art, planning, design and other allied disciplines.

To revitalise a previously defunct premise and restore it to its original aesthetics
To repair and upgrade existing services
To maximise utility for the new functions, and create additional storage/display space- by addition of a mezzanine, in the central high volume, that strategically divides the space
